Voters head to polls tomorrow

Voters in Newbury, Rowley and Salisbury will go to the polls tomorrow to cast their ballots in the annual town election.

In Newbury, Selectman Joseph Story II is being challenged in his quest for a second three-year term by Central Street resident Steven St. Arnault.

Polls at Town Hall on High Road and Byfield Town Hall on Central Street will be open from noon to 8 p.m.

In Rowley, voters will pick from three candidates running for two selectman seats. the candidates are incumbent Jack Cook, Zoning Board of Appeals member Thomas Heidgerd and Planning Board Member Robert Snow.

Polls are open from noon to 8 p.m.

In Salisbury, there are no contested races. Polls are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hilton Center.

In addition, Triton District voters in all three communities — Newbury, Rowley and Salisbury — are allowed to vote for candidates in the other two. In Newbury, Triton Regional School Committee Vice Chairman Diana "Dina" Sullivan faces opposition from William Levasseur of Fatherland Drive. They are running for a three-year term. Neither Rowley nor Salisbury has a Triton contest this year. Former Selectman Lane Bourn is unopposed in Rowley and Holly Beth Janvrin has drawn no opposition in Salisbury.

All three communities also have several uncontested races on the ballot.

Meanwhile, in Georgetown, voters head to the polls today to cast ballots in five contests — selectman, water commissioner, assessor, Housing Authority and Planning Board. Polls close at 7 p.m.
