Heard Around Town: Amesbury actor becoming a familiar face

Greg Hoyt hasn't visited his family in Amesbury in a few months, but most likely you've seen him anyway.

The Amesbury High School graduate turned actor is currently appearing in a regularly played Dunkin' Donuts commercial — he's the guy eating a pencil. But if you didn't notice him there, you've likely seen him somewhere else on your television set.

Hoyt's resume now includes commercials for ESPN, K-Swiss, Dockers, Pop Secret, Comp USA, Taco Bell, Bud Light, Axe Body Spray, Southwest Airlines and others.

And if you haven't noticed Hoyt, you've likely seen one of his best friends in Hollywood — Chad, the Alltel Wireless guy, played by actor Chad Brokaw.

Hoyt is the son of Peter at Patty Hoyt of Amesbury, and the brother of Johanna Kimball, an Amesbury Library Trustee.
