DISTRICT COURT

NEWBURYPORT: The following cases were recorded on Tuesday, June 17, in Newburyport District Court. Judge Peter Doyle presided over the following jury-waived cases:

Linda W. Buck, 48, 52 Marblehead St., North Andover; driving while under the influence of alcohol (DUI), continued without finding for one year, sentenced to one year's probation, ordered to attend Alcohol Safety Awareness Program (ASAP), license suspended for 45 days, assessed $250 for the Head Injury Fund (HIF), $250 DUI fee, $50 DUI victim's assessment, $50 for the state Victim/Witness Fund (VWF); failure to stay within marked lanes, found not responsible (State).

Joan H. Cook, 38, 11 High St., Apt. 6, Hampton, N.H.; driving with a suspended license, dismissed, assessed $100 costs; lights violation, found not responsible (Rowley); driving with a suspended license, dismissed, assessed $100 costs, $50 for the VWF (Amesbury).

Leo M. Marino Jr., 35, 71 Ferry St., Everett; assault, found guilty, sentenced to one year's probation, ordered to take anger management course, abide by a restraining order, not abuse the victim, remain drug- and alcohol-free and submit to random screens, assessed $148 restitution, $50 for the VWF (Amesbury)

Jessica Nikas, 18, 13 Linwood Place, Amesbury; breaking and entering into a boat or vehicle with intent to commit a felony, continued without finding for 18 months, ordered to perform 30 hours of community service, remain drug- and alcohol-free, submit to random screens, assessed $249 restitution, $90 for the VWF; larceny of property valued at more than $250, continued without finding for 18 months (Amesbury); breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor, found guilty, sentenced to six months in the house of correction, suspended for 18 months, 18 months probation (Amesbury).

Katherine B. Larkin, 23, 769 Main St., Boxford; driving without a license, dismissed, assessed $100 costs, $50 for the VWF (West Newbury).

Timothy Welch, 25, 21 Perkins St., Apt. 18, Amesbury; driving with a suspended license, continued without finding for two years, ordered to attend State Courts Against Road Rage program and Brains at Risk program, assessed $100 costs, $50 for the VWF; no registration sticker, found not responsible; no inspection sticker, found not responsible (Amesbury).

Trevor D. Scanlon, 19, 7 Beck St., Newburyport; minor in possession of alcohol, continued without finding for three months, assessed $50 cost, $50 for the VWF (Newbury).

Carol A. Ford, 45, 263 Haverhill St., Rowley; DUI, found guilty, sentenced to one year's probation, ordered to attend ASAP, license suspended for 90 days, assessed $250 for the HIF, $250 DUI fee, $50 DUI victim's assessment, $50 for the VWF; failure to stay within marked lanes, found responsible, filed (Rowley).

Auris Rodriguez, 44, 20 Warren St., Lawrence; driving without a license, dismissed, assessed $100 costs; failure to wear a seatbelt, found responsible, assessed $25 (Salisbury).

Christine A. Leclair, 44, 24 Arlington St., Amesbury; breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor, found guilty, assessed $200 fine, $50 surfine, $50 for the VWF; disturbing the peace, found guilty, filed; giving a false name, found guilty, filed (Amesbury).

Pedro J. Guzman, 34, 111 Saratoga Ave., Yonkers, N.Y.; driving without a license, dismissed, assessed $100 costs, $50 for the VWF; speeding, found responsible, assessed $150 (State).

Timothy C. Morin, 30, 93 Railroad Ave., Salisbury; driving with a suspended license, dismissed, assessed $100 costs, $50 for the VWF (State).

Robert Fraser, 57, 5 51st St., Newburyport; driving with a suspended license, dismissed, assessed $100 costs, $50 for the VWF; driving with a suspended registration, dismissed, assessed $100 costs, driving an uninsured vehicle, dismissed, assessed $200 costs; equipment violation, found not responsible (Newburyport).

Joel E. Garcia, 1 Baldwin St., Haverhill; driving with a suspended registration, dismissed, assessed $100 costs, $50 for the VWF; driving an uninsured vehicle, dismissed, assessed $100 costs; number plate violation, dismissed (Salisbury).

Judge Allen Swan presided over the following jury-session case:

Peterson, 50, 21 Wenmark Road, Newton, N.H.; DUI, found guilty, sentenced to one year's probation, ordered to attend ASAP, license suspended for 45 days, assessed $500 fine, $125 surfine, $250 for the HIF, $250 DUI fee, $50 DUI victim's assessment, $50 for the VWF; equipment violation, found not responsible (Amesbury).
