Amesbury School Notes
Teachers and students at the Cashman Elementary School are hoping to kick off the new school year by instilling students with the spirit of giving. On Sept. 2, teachers are requesting that students arrive at school with nonperishable items to jump-start the Fall Food Harvest. All items will be donated to the local food banks, Our Neighbors' Table and the Pettengill House. Items can be dropped off in the Welcome Wagons located at the gym and main office foyers.

Students at the Sparhawk School got an early start to the school year by erecting a timber frame yesterday. As part of the curriculum's Renaissance Studies, students had meetings with Amesbury's Building Inspector Denis Nadeau. Nadeau helped students with the permit process, drawing plans and a contractor to help erect the frame. The frame will eventually be used as the school's music building.
