Frightful fantasies at the Haunted Garage

SEABROOK — The ghouls are already out to play along Centennial Street, as a local business owner gets ready for her favorite holiday: Halloween.

The Haunted Garage , which masquerades as L and W Auto Repair the rest of the year, is a Halloween extravaganza, preparing to accept ghost hunters — or anyone else who loves creepy, crawl, spooky stuff — from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

Admission is free to the brave-hearted willing to walk through the shadowy maze of scary delights, complete with spiders, skeletons, ghosts, monsters and other things that go bump in the night.

L and W owner Myra Fowler is the originator of the chilling event each fall, when the bays at the garage are cleared out of all things automotive and replaced by horrible happenings.

Fowler said she goes through all the trouble and expense each year because she loves to see the looks on kids' faces as they travel through the Haunted Garage.

Those who know Fowler, however, are also aware the Haunted Garage appeals to the kid in its originator. Fowler loves Halloween.

The two-day event is a good opportunity for adults to keep in touch with the child within them, too, for kids of all ages are more than welcome.

No one leaves the Haunted Garage empty-handed. There's candy, doughnuts, cookies and activities to keep everyone happy. There will be the latest in jewelry, too — spider, of course.

For more information, contact Fowler at 603-474-9531.
