STATE POLICE

The following items were recorded in the log of the state police, Newbury barracks:

Benjamin Tranfaglia, 23, 3 Cross St., Salem, was arrested Monday at 12:05 a.m. and charged with possession of class B drugs (subsequent offense) and marked lanes violation. Trooper Thomas Canning made the arrest in Newburyport.

Mark Shuttleworth, 26, 1120 Main St., Stanford, was arrested yesterday at 2:05 p.m. on a warrant. Trooper McAnally made the arrest in Merrimac.

NEWBURY

The following item was recorded in the log of the Newbury police:

Jean Laura Ames, 51, 83 Main St., Byfield, was arrested Monday at 5:55 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, negligent driving and failure to stay in the right lane. Officer Michael Croteau and Sgt. Patty Fisher made the arrest on Coleman Road.
