Committee gearing up for Old Home Days

Seabrook Recreation Department has announced the tentative schedule of events for this year's Old Home Days festivities set for Aug. 8 through Aug. 16. Although events are subject to change and other events may be added, the following itinerary is currently planned for this annual summer celebration. Those interested in becoming part of the Old Home Days Committee should contact Sandy Beaudoin at 603-474-5746.

Aug. 8 — Lions Baby Seabrook Pageant

Aug. 10 — Old Seabrook Slide Show

Aug. 10 to 14 — Old Home Days softball tournament

Aug. 13 — Miss and Little Miss Seabrook Pageants

Aug. 14 — Junior Miss Seabrook Pageant

Aug. 15 — The Main Event and Musket Shoot

Aug. 16 — Lions Turkey Shoot

A number of other events are planned through the Recreation Department. For more information on any of the events listed below, contact the Recreation Department at 603-474-5746 or visit its Lafayette Road facility Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Seabrook Happy Seniors events

Saturday, July 11, Lobster Bake at the Legion, cost $25 for lobster and $20 for steak. To sign up, contact Irene at 603-474-3274.

Wednesday, July 15, Lake Sunapee Luncheon Cruise, cost $35. Bus leaves at 9:15 a.m. To sign up, contact Helen at 603-474-8932.

Friends of Recreation Seabrook

On Sunday, July 26, tickets to Fenway Park for the Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles game. Start time is 1:30 p.m., and tickets are $26. Tickets are limited and sold on a cash-only, first-come, first-serve basis at the Recreation Department.

The Friends of Recreation Seabrook is also sponsoring a trip on Sunday, Sept. 6, to the award-winning musical "Jersey Boys." Playing at the Shubert Theatre in Boston, tickets are $100 and include the cost of admittance and transportation. A limited number of tickets are now available at the Recreation Center and are to be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. A $50 deposit is required with final payment due Aug. 10.
