'Buffett on the Beach' fundraiser

NEWBURYPORT — Anna Jaques Hospital has announced that the fourth annual beach party fundraiser, "Buffett on the Beach," will be held Friday, June 19, from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Pavilion at Salisbury Beach Reservation. This is the fourth annual beach party organized by Anna Jaques Community Health Foundation, and it is once again co-chaired by Louis Rubenfeld and Cyndi Barry Rubenfeld.

The event will be held under an 8,000-square-foot tent at the water's edge. Carry Out Cafe will provide a "Feeding Frenzy,",while guests dance to the DJ sounds of Jimmy Buffett. This year, raffle prizes will include golfing at local clubs, sports tickets and two tickets to the June 25 Jimmy Buffett concert at the Comcast Center in Mansfield.

Proceeds from the event will support the creation of comprehensive cancer care at the new Commonwealth Newburyport Cancer Center adjacent to the hospital. Anna Jaques Hospital provides chemotherapy, and Commonwealth Hematology Oncology provides radiation therapy at the center. Services include intensity modulated radiation therapy and prostatic seeds, and clinical trials.

Event tickets are $125 per person. Raffle tickets are 1 ticket for $5 or 5 tickets for $20. Raffle ticket holders need not be present to win. For event tickets, raffle tickets, sponsorship opportunities and event details, visit www.ajh.org or call the foundation office at 978-463-1176.
