Katelyn Starr is named Little Miss Seabrook

SEABROOK — Five year-old Katelyn Starr will wear the crown of Little Miss Seabrook this year.

With her blonde hair piled atop her head in a cascade of curls, the kindergartener dazzled the crowd in a long black, A-line gown and long black gloves. Katelyn loves her Barbie dolls and jumping on her trampoline, along with playing with her friends. Her favorite colors are silver and gold, and she enjoys playing with her two cats, as well as drawing pictures.

First runner-up was Kacie Coleman, a four-year old preschooler with long blonde hair and a love of animals. Kacie, who wore a deep turquoise gown, enjoys riding horses, the color purple and playing with her Barbie dolls. Also among her favorite things is dancing and eating lobster.

The second runner-up sash went to Valerie Noonan. The six-year-old wore a turquoise party dress with her blonde hair falling in waves to her shoulders. She’ll start first grade in the fall, and loves playing Legos. The color orange makes her smile and dolphins and puppies are among her favorite animals.

Catherine Carroll was selected third runner-up, wearing a long, pink satin gown, complete with a white rose on her shoulder. Catherine, age six, will be a first grader this fall, and loves pink and purple, eating all kinds of fruit and arts and crafts.

The youngsters performed before a crowd at Thursday night’s pageant festivities at Seabrook Community Center. Also competing were Grace Lee, Pixie Rose Carroll, MaKenzie Kerr, Shyla Beal and Jaycee Lynn O’Dell.
