---- — SEABROOK — Police are investigating the cause of a crash that killed a 22-year-old Seabrook man yesterday morning, and injured his two passengers.

Police and fire personnel from Seabrook and Hampton Falls responded to the scene of the single-car rollover on Stard Road near Chase Way at 8:58 a.m. yesterday, according to Officer John Mounsey, and found two of the three male passengers trapped inside the Jeep Cherokee. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life at the scene, he added.

The third occupant was outside the vehicle when emergency personnel arrived. The man who was believed to be driving, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Mounsey.

His identity will not be released until Monday, pending notification of relatives and an autopsy.

The two passengers inside the car, ages 22 and 24, both believed to live in Seabrook, were transported to Exeter Hospital, Mounsey said, with non life-threatening injuries. One of the men had an arm injury, he said.

The Jeep Cherokee hit a mailbox and street sign before flipping over, according to police. Mounsey said Seabrook police are working with the State Police to determine the cause of the crash.

“It’s early,” he said yesterday afternoon. “We’re still investigating.”

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to contact Officer John Mounsey at 603-474-5200.
