Outdoor water restrictions imposed in Georgetown

---- — GEORGETOWN — The Georgetown Water Department has initiated mandatory restrictions on non-essential outdoor water use.

As of Saturday, Aug. 24, non-essential outdoor water use will be allowed one day a week.

Odd-numbered houses may water for non-essential uses on Tuesday and even-numbered houses may water on Thursday. Watering times will be before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m.

Watering of lawns, gardens, flowers and ornamental plants by means of a hand-held hose at anytime will be permitted until further notice.
