Anna Jaques welcomes new surgeon

Anna Jaques Hospital welcomes Christina Sanders, DO, as a general surgeon at the Atlantic Surgical Associates & Vein Institute. Sanders joins David Swierzewski, MD, FACS, at the Atlantic Surgical Associates & Vein Institute, located in the Doctors’ Office Building, Suite A.

Sanders’ areas of expertise include diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, gallbladder, soft tissue and hernias. She also has experience with obesity surgery and has published scientific papers and lectured on the subject.

“My goal is to provide a personalized experience with clear communication between patients and their families,” said Sanders. “This way, patients’ fears, anxiety and stress that are associated with a hospital experience can be alleviated.”

Prior to her role as general surgeon, Sanders served as chief surgical resident at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she received extensive training using the latest surgical techniques. She is highly trained in advanced minimally invasive procedures, and opts to use a minimally invasive approach whenever possible. During her residency, she presented at several national meetings on minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Sanders is now seeing patients at the Atlantic Surgical Associates & Vein Institute. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 978-462-8006.
