Masons host Oktoberfest Saturday

NEWBURYPORT — The Masons will host for a celebration of the season in unique German style at their annual Oktoberfest on Saturday.

The Masonic Hall on Green Street will be transformed into a hopping festival site from 6:30 to 11 p.m., with stein-raising sing-alongs led by the lederhosen-clad Oberlandaer Hofbrau Band. The high-energy entertainment will complement a full German meal of Bratwurst, Knockwurst, chicken, pretzels and desserts.

The price of admission includes three beverage tickets and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the Angel Fund, an all-volunteer charity overseen by the Masons for local schools.

Tickets are $50 and are available online at newburyportoktoberfest.eventbrite.com. More information can be found on the Facebook page http://facebook.com/newburyportoktoberfest.
