The following item was recorded in the Newburyport police log:

John W. Strausser, 26, 16 Woodman Way, No. 22, was arrested Saturday at 9:48 p.m. and charged with violating an abuse prevention order. At the same time, Kristina C. DeSimone, 26, 75 Willow St., Woburn, was issued a summons on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order. Officers Michael Wilichoski, Matthew Simons and Sgt. Al Maguire made the arrest on Woodman Way.

AMESBURY

The following items were recorded in the Amesbury police log:

Craig E. Chernov, 39, 14 Fruit Place, Amesbury, was issued a summons Friday at 7:46 a.m. on charges of failure to inspect motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Officer Steven Reed issued the summons on Elm Street.

Ralph S. Sonneborn, 39, 28 Burns St., Lowell, was issued a summons Friday at 8:12 a.m. on charges of failure to inspect motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Officer Reed issued the summons on Elm Street.

Brent Searles, 41, 21 Kimball Road, Amesbury, was arrested Friday at 8:44 a.m. and charged with two previous warrants. Officers Reed and Robert Chatigny made the arrest on Kimball Road.

Jennifer Cutting, 31, 178 Elm St., No. 4, Amesbury, was arrested Friday at 3:49 p.m. and charged with two previous warrants. Officer Reed made the arrest on Elm Street.

Dante F. Defuria, 32, 9 Amory St., Lynn, was arrested Saturday at 12:20 a.m. and charged with a previous warrant and resisting arrest. Officers Raymond Landry, David Noyes and Charles Sciacca made the arrest on Kimball Road.

Tyler Dorris, 22, 168 Elm St., Amesbury, was issued a summons Saturday at 12:37 a.m. on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a number plate violation. Officer Ronald Guilmette issued the summons on Elm Street.

Francisco Joshua Lopez, 22, 11 Bay St., Amesbury, was arrested Saturday at 1:03 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. Officers Guilmette and Noyes made the arrest on Elm Street.
