AMESBURY — The Adventist Church will be hosting a three-day series of events, presented by New Beginnings Health Solutions from Wildwood Lifestyle Center, Wildwood, Ga., Friday through Sunday. This series will feature practical wellness workshops and talks, two free, healthy dinners, a vegan cooking school and opportunities for consultations with the staff from New Beginnings. All are welcome. Workshops will be held either at the church, 171 Main St., Amesbury, or at the school, 185 Main Ave. (Route 107A), South Hampton.
The schedule is as follows:
Friday at 7 p.m., the workshop "Hero or Villain? High Cholesterol" will be held at the church.
Saturday at 10 a.m., the workshop "One Nation under Pressure: High Blood Pressure" will be held at the church.
"The Plan for Restoration — The Spiritual Component of Health" workshop will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the school, followed by lunch at 1 p.m. From 3 to 4 p.m., "Cancer: Natural Treatment" workshop will be held. The workshop at 7 p.m. is "Where's the Sugar? — Diabesity."
On Sunday at noon, a cooking school will be held at the school. At 1:30 p.m., commencement and free dinner will be held for the community. Personal health consultants will be available from 4 to 8 p.m. and on following days, by appointment and for a fee.
The health issues covered will include obesity, heart disease, dependence, depression, diabetes, cancer and arthritis. The emphasis will be on the positives— whole diet, active lifestyle, and spiritual and emotional health.
