NEWBURYPORT - Walter John Barowy, 80, died early Tuesday morning, Jan. 29, 2008 at his home in Newburyport, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of 58 years of Olive (Morrill) Barowy.

Born in Ipswich, March 31, 1927, he was the son of the late Vladimir J. and Anastasia (Kierna) Barowy. After high school, he served with the Merchant Marines during World War II.Read this article in full with a
