DURHAM, N.H. - Robert Philip Keefe, 74, died at home in Durham on April 26, 2007 after a courageous seven year battle with cancer. Born in Needham, he was a graduate of Amesbury High, Class of 1950, the University of New Hampshire, Class of 1954, and Syracuse University with a masters degree in economics. He served with the U.S. Air Force (Strategic Air Command) under General Curtis Lemay, retiring at the rank of Captain.
After working for American Electric Power in New York City, he returned to New Hampshire with wife and baby son to begin a rewarding 34 year career as a stockbroker, working in Boston for Paine Webber, Lehman Brothers, and then Smith-Barney (Portsmouth), retiring in 2000.
