IPSWICH - Laura B. Stevens, 89, longtime resident of East Street, died peacefully Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in the Caldwell Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, Ipswich, after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Stevens Jr. who died in December, 1977.

Born on Oct. 24, 1917 in Rowley, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha (Dewar) Hamm. Following their marriage in 1939, the Stevens moved to Hamilton for a short period of time, then to Ipswich, where she raised her family and lived the rest of her life.Read this article in full with a
