NEWBURY - Leslie E. "Bud" Atkinson died Wednesday, May 30, 2007. He had been ill for several years.

He was born in Newburyport, on Oct. 30, 1924. He was the son of Doris (Kimball) and Willis Freeman Atkinson. He attended local grammar schools, Kimball Union Academy, Meridan NH and U.C.L.A. Los Angeles Campus. He served in the Philippines during World War II.Read this article in full with a
