York, maine — Harriette S. Lusty, 82, of Harris Island Road, died Friday, April 12, 2013, in Sentry Hill. She was born November 30, 1930, in Bennington, Vt., a daughter of the late Haviland and Doris (Carpenter) Sibley.
She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. She was the co-founder of the Dockside Quest Quarters and Restaurant and York Harbor Marine Service. She was a member of the York Art Association and the York Garden Club.
Her husband of 51 years, David S. Lusty, died in 2007. She leaves four sons, Paul H. Lusty and his wife, Stephanie of Portland, Maine, Eric L. Lusty and his wife, Carol of York, Maine, Philip S. Lusty and his wife, Anne of York, Maine, and John C. Lusty and his wife, Kimberly of Merrimac, Mass.; her twin sister, Anne Thomsen of Holderness, N.H.; and 10 grandchildren, Thomas, Harrison, Connor, Patricia, Meghan, Andrew, Ryan, Cole, Jessica and Hayden. A sister, Deborah Eddington, predeceased her.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service for Harriette will be held in June in the First Parish Church, 180 York St., York, Maine, at a time and date to be announced. Burial will be in the First Parish Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family would like to thank the staff at Sentry Hill and Beacon Hospice for all their care for Harriette.
