Salisbury, MA — Ralph J. Cerbone Sr., 83, was a longtime Salisbury resident and formerly of Saugus, passed away peacefully at his home in Salisbury on Saturday afternoon, December 14, 2013, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.
He was born in Revere on August 23, 1930, and was a graduate of Saugus High School. Shortly thereafter, he proudly served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, from February 15, 1952, until his honorable discharge on January 28, 1954.
He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Barbara (Berthold) Cerbone; the son of the late Philip J. and Julia (Cataldo) Cerbone; and brother to Phyllis Trifone of Revere, and the late Rose (Fortini) Tartarini of Wakefield. He was the adored father of six children, Pattie Lever and husband, Harley, Kathi Leo and life partner, Ron Williams, Phil Cerbone and fiancée, Kim Chambers, Ralph Cerbone Jr. and wife, Astrid, Michael Cerbone and wife, Paula, and Julie Languirand and husband, John; loving grandfather to 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
His love will continue to live on in our hearts forever.
His joy was watching his family grow.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, December 17, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury. Funeral services at the funeral home will be on Wednesday, at 10 a.m., followed by burial in Bartlett Cemetery, Amesbury.
