Alice 'Sis' (Randall) Poulin

Newburyport — Alice H. (Randall) Poulin, 79, a lifelong resident of Newbury and Newburyport, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, December 14, 2013, at Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Newburyport. Alice was born in Seabrook, N.H., on December 30, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Maurice and Betty (Trickey) Randall.

She was the wife of the late Ernest W. Poulin, and devoted mother to her five children.

A talented artist, Sis ran a ceramic studio where she taught classes out of her home in Newbury. A lover of music, Sis enjoyed many hours playing her Baldwin organ and listening to music. She was an avid country Western line dancer, and loved playing cards and bingo with family and friends. Sis will always be remembered as a lifelong Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her sons, James L. Poulin and wife, Barbara, of Newburyport, Dana E. Poulin and wife, Kathleen, of Salisbury, and the late Mark D Poulin; her daughters, Denise E. Atherton of West Newbury, Diane M. Lynch and husband, Michael, of Hubbardston; her sisters, Ivy Jones and husband, Kenny, of Gulf Port, Fla., and the late Josephine Pollard and husband, Charlie; her brothers, Maurice Randall and wife, Shea, of Seabrook, and Robert MacLaughlin and wife, Susan; her grandchildren, Kristin and Jennifer Poulin, Jessica Yuhasz, Jeffrey and Michelle Poulin, and Lauren and Lee Atherton; great-grand daughter Mia Yuhasz; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many dear friends.

Friends will remember Sis for her beautiful smile, feisty spirit and outgoing personality.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, December 18, at the Twomey-LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport. Services and burial will be private at a later date.
