ROWLEY, MA — Peter Andrew Merrill, 35, of Miami, Florida, formerly of Rowley, passed away Wednesday morning, November 27, 2013, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Margaret (Wallace) Merrill of Miami, FL.
Peter was born in Newburyport, August 24, 1978, to his parents, Peter A. Merrill of Rowley and Martha R. (Riley) Merrill of Seabrook, NH.
He enjoyed the arts, including music and photography.
Peter attended Triton Regional High School, Mass College of Art and Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, becoming an accomplished pastry chef. Peter then attended The Farm School in Athol, MA. He became the Manager at the Codman Community Farm in Lincoln, MA before his move to Florida where he was employed as a Baker for Lyon and Lyon Catering in Miami.
Peter was well known for his big smile and happy nature. His greatest joy was his love for his daughter and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Peter and Martha Merrill and his wife, Margaret, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Muriel “Timmie” Merrill of Georgetown; a daughter, Eleanor Elizabeth Merrill of Miami, FL; siblings,
brother, Mike and his wife, Meghann Merrill, of Rowley, MA; and three sisters, Sarah and husband, Jared Gove, of Hampton Falls, NH; Katelyn Merrill and Callie Mae Merrill, both of Rowley, MA and Seabrook, NH. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jack and wife, Jessica Wallace, of Miami, FL; 6 nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
