Newburyport — Eric “Wally” Ware, 64, of Newburyport, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, surrounded by family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Terry (Slager) Ware.
Born on July 19, 1948, in Lynn, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Doris E. (Seaberg) Ware and was a graduate of North Reading High School and Northeastern University.
Wally was the Purchasing Manager for Moynihan Lumber in North Reading, having worked there for 40 years.
He was a member of the Harry L. Folsom Club, a lumber organization; The Silver Club, and a member of the Newburyport Elks. He will be sadly missed by “The Breakfast Club” at Mad Martha’s, his Keno friends on Saturday afternoons at the All American Tavern, his special longtime friends at The Hungry Traveler, and his many, many friends both near and far.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three brothers, Alan Ware and wife Linda of Wilmington, Carl of Boston, and Bob and wife Joanne of Beverly. He also leaves several endearing nieces and nephews, every one of whom he played jokes on. Wally loved and was loved by all in-laws.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green St., Newburyport, immediately followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Star of the Sea Church, Beach Road, Salisbury, MA 01952 or to the charity of one’s choice.
