Kensington, N.H. — Sheila D. (Quinn) Lizotte, just 15 days shy of her 72nd birthday, died unexpectedly at her home in Kensington, N.H. early Tuesday morning, March 26, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. “Buzzy” Lizotte, with whom she shared her life’s dreams, joys and adventures.
Born in Amesbury, April 10, 1941, one of two daughters of the late James P. and Mary Frances (Brady) Quinn, Sheila graduated from Amesbury High School and Fisher Junior College. She worked as a legal secretary for Attorney John Healy of Amesbury for several years.
Sheila embraced life wholeheartedly. Whether boating or snowmobiling with her husband or taking yoga or pilates classes, her enthusiasm was apparent as was her positive outlook. When she spoke with you, it was engaging, her sincere smile and bright blue eyes were captivating. Sheila was a very sincere individual, was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph Parish of Amesbury and the Star of the Sea Parish of Salisbury and was a true friend to many.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she leaves behind her sister, Kathleen Lynch and husband, Michael of Merrimac; her nephew, Timothy Lynch and wife, Jennifer of Erie, Colo.; her niece, Ellen (Lynch) Tracy and husband, Shawn of Georgetown; two grandnephews, Hunter Tracy and Tighe Lynch; a grandniece, Teagan Lynch; along with her uncle, John Casazza of Newbury and many dear, dear friends. She will be missed by them all.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church of the Holy Family Parish, 2 School Street, Amesbury, followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, C/O Holy Family Parish, 11 Sparhawk Street, Amesbury, MA 01913.
