MERCER, MAINE — Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Landry, 56, of Mercer, Maine and formerly of Massachusetts, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014, at the Maine General Hospital in Augusta, Maine. She gave support readily and steadily to the love of her life, David Doane of Mercer, Maine, to which she gave all she had, “I did it my way.”
Beth was born March 14, 1957, in Lynn, Mass., to her late parents Albert Joseph and Geraldine (Clark) Landry of Rowley.
She was a graduate of Triton Regional High School. She worked as a CNA for decades providing care and comfort for others at the SeaView Nursing Home in Rowley. She was a former employee of the International Paper Company in Jay, Maine.
She loved being a mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed nature, especially watching deer and other wildlife.
Beth's true accomplishments are measured in the raising of her two sons, Andrew William Alexson, III of Ipswich, and Shane Michael Alexson of Mercer, Maine; as well as support and guidance given to her grandchildren, Andria (Drew) Geraldine Alexson of Mercer, Maine and Thea Nicole Alexson of Ipswich, Mass. She is also survived by two brothers, Albert J. Landry, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Newburyport and Mark D. Landry and his wife, Suzie, of Rowley and her sister, Cynthia A. Savage and her husband, Thomas, of Newbury.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Main Street, Rowley. A period of visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 10, 4 to 7 p.m. in the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent St., Rowley.
