Newburyport, MA — Andrew Cronin, 95, of Newburyport died December 24th at the Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. He was born April 23, 1917 in Newburyport to the late William and Mary (Donahue) Cronin. Andrew was an Army World War II veteran who served in the Philippines and Japan. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and was a parishioner at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Newburyport. He worked for many years as a truck driver for Whekelbra in Salisbury and for Souther Shellfish in Seabrook. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially loved watching New England sports teams and playing cribbage.
Andrew is survived by his sisters Claire Clark of South Boston and Frances Clark of Springfield, VA, his sister-in-law Wanda Cronin of AZ as well as several nieces and nephews and special friends Monique and Larry. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters Edward, Catherine, William, Frederick, and Phillip Cronin.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Monday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Newburyport. Family and friends may call before the Mass on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Twomey - LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.
