Salisbury — Eileen (Cloonan) Cardone, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 21, at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born in Lawrence on Oct. 19, 1928 and was the daughter of Edmund and Bridget (Dillon) Cloonan. She was educated in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School, class of 1946.
Eileen worked for many years as a contract specialist with the Department of Navy in the Fargo Building in Boston. She also ran the popular restaurant at the East End Community Club with her late husband, Eddie Cardone.
Eileen enjoyed life to the fullest, with a particular love for shopping and Manhattans. She spent her winters in Cape Coral, Fla., and her summers playing endless games of cards with her family at the beach. She was the world's best 45s champion! She also enjoyed many activities at the Haverhill Senior Center.
Eileen is survived by her two granddaughters, Joeli Pappalardo of Salisbury and Dawn Wilson and her husband Jon and their two children, Mackenzie and Remy, of Mattapoisett. She leaves a sister, Mary Begley of Haverhill. She also leaves her stepson, Ed Cardone of East Kingston, and his three sons, Michael of Epping and his daughter, Natalia; Brian and his wife Carla and their children, Kyle and Ava of Merrimac; and Daniel of Nottingham. She also leaves her dearest friend, Diane Tucker.
Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband, Eddie; her daughter, Donna Curry Cross; and her brothers, Patrick, Edward, Matthew and John Cloonan. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family and wonderful friends. She will be sadly missed by her beloved pet, Fenway.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, at St. Monica’s Church, 214 Lawrence St., Methuen. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
