ROWLEY, MA — Frederick J. Goguen, 94, of Rowley and formerly of Mansfield, MA passed away on February 7th at his home. Frederick was the husband of the late Frances (DiRienzo) Goguen with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, October 20th, 1918, he was the son of the late Edmund and Evangeline (Derosier) Goguen. Fred worked as a welder at General Electric until his retirement. He enjoyed refinishing furniture and had a longtime passion for antique cars and enjoyed attending car shows around the area.
Frederick is survived by his son, John Goguen and his wife, Kathleen of Rowley and his daughter, Geralynne Winget and her husband, Gordon, of Norton; grandchildren Kyle Dupree and Miranda Larson; close friends, Joseph DiRienzo, MaryJane Herd and Glen Larson, as well as many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings, Beatrice, Alice, Louis and Albert.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 13th at 10:00AM in St. Mary's Church, Main Street, Rowley. A period of visitation will precede the funeral from 9-9:30AM at the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
