Seabrook, NH — Mary E. “Betty” Sleeper, 78, of Seabrook, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, after a long illness.
She was born on August 11, 1935, in Beverly Mass., a daughter of the late Ernest and Lois (Greenough) Crampsey.
Mary grew up in the Rowley, Mass., area and later moved to Salisbury Mass., for a number of years before moving to Seabrook, where she lived the last 27 years.
She was a wonderful mother who was very proud of her children and all their accomplishments. She worked as a deli manager at area grocery stores and in her spare timed enjoyed fishing with her dear old friends.
Mrs. Sleeper was a member of the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post 70 Women's Auxiliary, where she spent many hours over the years volunteering, cooking meals for veteran events.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Sleeper; children, Sharon Carpenter, Richard Nelson, Brian Nelson, Wanda Perry, Kevin Nelson, Eric Marshall and Krissi Lavoie; seventeen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two pups, Bam-bam and Peanut.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Pendergast.
