Rowley, MA — Mary Rose (Perusse) Bergeron, a former resident of Amesbury, passed away on Wednesday at Sea View Retreat after a long illness. She was born in Kennebunk, Maine, and was the daughter of the late Leon and Laura (Rondeau) Perusse. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Bergeron, who died in 1973 and loving mother of the late Juliette (Bergeron) Rubino, who died on August 18, 2012.
She was predeceased by brothers, Leon, Raymond, Gerald, Robert, and Pierre Perusse, and sisters, Clarina Roberge and Constance Bianchi.
Mary was a member of both Holy Family Parish Church and the St. Anne Sodality. She was an active member of the Amesbury Senior Center for many years where she participated in a wide variety of events, crafts, and enjoyed the company of her many friends. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her daughters and their families. She will be long remembered for her good nature and kind heartedness.
Mary is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Lorraine (Bergeron) McCosh and her husband, Roland; her son-in-law Carlo Rubino; her four grandchildren, Carla Webb and husband, David, Michael Rubino and wife, Dale, Brian McCosh and wife, Lisa, and Leslie Spencer and husband, Larry; five great grandchildren, Kali Webb, Benjamin and Megan McCosh, Chelsey and Ryan Spencer, and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday April 15, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish Church 2 School St., Amesbury, Mass. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the mass from 9 to 10 a.m., at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Sea View Retreat Patient Activity Fund, 50 Mansion Dr., Rowley, MA, 01969.
