Judith A. Timmons


Salisbury — Judith A. Timmons of Salisbury, beloved wife of Chester L. Timmons with whom she shared 38 years of marriage died peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Anna Jaques Hospital. Born and raised in Newburyport, Judy was the daughter of the late Eleanor H. (Donahue) Mansourian and Walter “Shorty” Mansourian.

Judy was a member of the Newburyport High School class of 1960 and attended Northern Essex Community College. She was the loving mother of Thomas R. Fordham Jr. and his wife, Belinda of Newbury, and grandchildren, Melissa Anderson and husband Joseph and Kelly Fordham and her significant other, Jarod Courchesne. Additional family members include step-children and their families, Brian Timmons and wife Kyong Hui of Layton, Utah and their children, Christina and Peter, Steven Timmons and wife Paula of Littleton, Colo., and granddaughter, Sheri Breth of Groveland, Michael Timmons and wife Mary Alice of Newburyport and their children, Jessica, Eli and family, Kathleen Paine and husband, Larry of Aravada, Colo., and Julie Ann Meyer and her significant other Gary Morton of Nuevo, Calif. and granddaughter, Brittany Paugh, and Kevin Timmons and wife, Karen of Newbury, and their children, Krista, Timothy and Danny. She was the niece of Joseph E. Donahue and wife Eileen of Reston, Va.; cousin of Elaine and husband Dr. Paul O’Brien of Oakton, Va.; and cousin of Thomas Donahue and wife Millie of Leesburg, Va.

Also known as “Nanny” from Nanny’s Candies, she and her husband operated the candy store in Salisbury for more than six years. Prior to the candy store, she worked for NSTAR Corporation in Boston and was the Assistant Treasurer of Omni Hotels in Hampton, N.H.

ARRANGEMENTS: At the family’s request, visiting hours will be held at The Community United Methodist Church, 11 Central St., Byfield, on Friday, November 23, from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. immediately followed by a celebration service of Judy’s life at 12 P.M. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a luncheon following the service downstairs in Faith Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s name may be made to the Community United Methodist Memorial Fund or the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for Lung Research. Arrangements are by Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport.
