Newburyport, MA — Brooke Hiatt MacLeod, age 30, of Newburyport, died unexpectedly at the Exeter Hospital on October 14, 2013.
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, February 22, 1983, she was the beloved daughter of Eileen Hiatt of Newburyport and the late Jim Hiatt and attended Newburyport High School.
She was involved in many programs with people in need from all walks of life. She loved animals and the majesty of nature, which she so masterfully portrayed in her art work.
Brooke had also worked at Cheers in Boston for some years.
In addition to her loving mother, Eileen, she is survived by her twin brother, Drew Hiatt, aunt, Kathleen Bernstein, and cousins from Manhattan and Long Island, her husband, Michael MacLeod and step-son, Zachary MacLeod. She has been reunited in heaven with her father and her beautiful son, Phoenix MacLeod. Although everyone who knew and loved her is wrenched with grief, her life of caring and doing for others is an example of her unselfish love and will be forever treasured.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport, will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. immediately followed by a Service of Remembrance at 2 P.M.
