Virginia A. (Lagoulis) Spriggs


Watertown, MA — Virginia A. (Lagoulis) Spriggs of Watertown, Massachusetts, died Saturday, October 12, 2013, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton, MA.

Born in Newburyport, October 14, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Speros and Gertrude (Smith) Lagoulis. Virginia married Gene Beauchemin and resided in Pittsburg, NH where she raised a family during the sixties and seventies. In 1978 she moved with her family to the Boston area. Virginia resided within the Boston area for the remainder of her life.

She is survived by her children, Colleen Perry and husband, Charles, of Derry, NH, Victor Beauchemin and wife, Barbara, of Hudson, NH, Christian Beauchemin and wife, Sarah, of Concord, NH, and Marie Bannon and husband, John, of Raymond, NH; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two uncles, James Lagoulis of Newburyport and John Lagoulis of Salisbury; and an aunt, Ann Marshall of Newburyport. She also leaves behind longtime companion, Michael Flanders of Boston, MA. She will be sadly missed by them all.

ARRANGEMENTS: Private graveside services were held for the family at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newburyport where she was laid to rest with her parents. Arrangements were by Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport.
