Salisbury, MA — Frank E. “Hank” Brown, 81, of Salisbury, former longtime Newburyport resident, died Friday evening, October 25, 2013, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston surrounded by his family.
Born in Newburyport, September 28, 1932, he was the son of the late Wendell W. Brown and Nellie A. (Ealy) Robitaille and was a graduate of Newburyport High School. Hank was a Police Officer for the City of Newburyport for 22 years, retiring in 1981 as a Lieutenant.
He is survived by three sons, Frank Brown and wife, Ella of Seabrook, N.H.; Paul Brown and wife, Carla of Ossipee, N.H., and Michael Brown and wife, Pam of N. Hampton, N.H.; two daughters, Toni Bumpers and husband Joseph of Deerfield, N.H., and Diane Dawson and husband Allen of Lincoln, Maine; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everett and Lambert; and two sisters, Carol and Kay; along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly. He was predeceased by a son, Richard Brown in 2010; a sister, Edwina; and a brother, Robert.
