Nottingham, NH — Ruth Elizabeth (Bartlett) Cummings, 85, died on December 18, 2013, at her home in Nottingham, N.H. Her family emigrated from Newfoundland and settled in Everett, Mass., where she was born on February 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Malcolm and Annie (Richards) Bartlett. She spent summers and then retired on Pawtuckaway Lake in Nottingham where she owned a home since 1960.
She was the dearly beloved wife of the late Charles L. Cummings of Nottingham, N.H.; cherished mother of Linda J. Cummings of Tacoma, Wash., and Christine A. Almon and her husband Robert W. of Amesbury, Mass.; loving Grandma of Patrick Almon and his wife Cassie of Kensington, N.H., Brian Almon of Beverly, Mass., and Danielle Almon of Amesbury, Mass.; loving sister of Lily Wetherbee of Saugus, Mass., and Robert Bartlett of East Wareham, Mass.; and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Sunday, December 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Paul C. Rogers and Sons Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Ave., Amesbury, MA. A Memorial Service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Assistance to the family has also been provided by Brewitt Funeral Service, Epping, N.H.
