With all her involvements within the community, she never failed to impress on her family how important they were to her. It was for them that she enriched her life so she could share with them her joys and excitements and laughter. Summer vacations at York Beach, impromptu picnic suppers, large extended family cook-outs and holiday dinners all brought her joy.
Barbara is survived by a son, Robert E. Lagasse, J. and wife, Carol of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a daughter, Susan Lagassee of Hartford, Conn.; four grandchildren, Kris Lagassee of Jacksonville, Fla., Kara Lagassee and fiance Jim Cotter of Exeter, N.H., Kyle McLaughlin and wife Debra of Roswell, Ga., and Kelli McLaughlin of Salisbury; along with nine great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. She will be truly missed by them all. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert S. Moore.
The family would like to acknowledge the many acts of kindness and support by her friends too numerous to mention during this past year. And special thanks and gratitude to the staffs at the Elizabeth Calsey House and Amesbury Village who went over and above to care for Barbara.
