Seabrook, NH — Phyllis Perkins, 87, a long-time Seabrook resident, died Friday, December 20, 2013, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a fall outside of her home.
She was born in Amesbury, Mass., December 14, 1926, and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Souther) Locke. She attended Amesbury High School and worked many years as a waitress at the Hawaiian Gardens and Sailor Bills restaurants, and later for Gould Electronics in Newburyport until her retirement.
Mrs. Perkins enjoyed many hours of playing cards with family and friends and Bingo games.
She was the widow of Harry A. Perkins, who died in 1977 and was also predeceased by her siblings, Bob Locke and Gloria Souther.
Family members include her son, Harry A. Perkins, Jr. of Seabrook; two daughters, Constance “Lady Bug” Locke and Mary Ann Frascone and her companion, Mike Fournier, all of Seabrook; a brother, Jim Locke and his wife, Theresa of Rochester, N.H.; a sister, Betty Locke of Seabrook; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services will be held Monday, December 30, 2013, at noon in the Hillside Cemetery, Lafayette Road, Seabrook. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688. Arrangements are by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory of Hampton, N.H.
