Newton, NH — Gregg V. Frappier, age 55, Newbury Police Officer, of Newton, N.H., died unexpectedly Thursday, December 19, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Rhonda Frappier of Newton, N.H.
Born in Manchester, N.H., April 5, 1958, he was the son of Evelyn T. (Storey) Frappier of Newton, N.H., and the late Francis B. Frappier. He was anxious to serve his country and left high school to join the Army, serving with the Special Operations Unit. After his honorable discharge, he completed his high school studies, went on to college and pursued a career as a dedicated Police Officer with the Newbury Police Department for 28 years. During his dedicated service to the Newbury Police Department, Gregg served in numerous capacities, including as an investigator for the Northeast Merrimack Valley Drug Task Force, Newbury Police Department detective, department K-9 handler and as a certified motorcycle patrol officer, which was Gregg’s true passion.
Gregg was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his children. He followed many of the sports teams, and as a hockey player, was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins.
In addition to his beloved wife, Rhonda, and his mother, he is survived by his children, Nikko, Gino, Marina and Tasha Frappier, all of Newton, N.H.; his step-children, Jarred and Sadie Shennett of Amesbury, Jon Burns of Newbury, and Kayla Frappier and AJ Mazaulski; his brother, Steven Frappier and wife, Marcia of Raymond, N.H., along with many dear friends and his brotherhood of Police Officers throughout the area. His selfless devotion to all will never be forgotten.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services and interment in Highland Cemetery, Newton, NH will be private for the family and there will be no visiting hours. A public Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Newbury Fire Department, 2 Morgan Ave., Newbury, MA.
