Theresa O. Tessimond, 85

Amesbury, MA — Theresa Tessimond passed peacefully last Thursday at Amesbury Village. She was the wife of 63 years to the late Arthur Tessimond who passed away this past October. She was born in Newburyport, Mass., and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Camilla (Macalato) Pace.

She grew up in Newburyport and was a graduate of NHS. She worked as an assembler at Chase Shawmut in Newburyport before moving to Amesbury after her marriage to Arthur. She then was employed as a clerk in the census dept. for the Town of Amesbury for some years. She also became a homemaker and raised her family. She was an avid Bridge player and belonged to a Bridge club, and was an exceptional cook. She really enjoyed hosting Sunday dinners for the entire family and also spending time at the beach with her extended family.

She is survived by one son, Arthur J. Tessimond Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Oakland, Calif.; one daughter, Susan Brambilla and her husband, Mark of Epping, N.H.; three grandchildren, Jesse Merrill, and Andrew and Rebecca Tessimond; two great-grandchildren, Miles and Levi Merrill; one brother, Robert Pace of Seabrook, N.H.; one sister, Dolores White of Newburyport, Mass.; and nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish Church, 2 School St., Amesbury. Burial will follow in the Mt. Prospect Cemetery. Calling hours at the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, 118 Friend St., Amesbury, are Sunday, Dec. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m.
