Peabody, MA — Raymond A. Warner, 92, of Peabody, and late of Lenox, Mass., died on May 13, 2014, with his family by his side.
He was born in Sunderland, Mass., on February 22, 1922, to Marguerite Chapin Warner.
Ray was a World War II veteran, serving as a Marine. He later married the love of his life, the late Jane Shaw Warner, and started a life insurance agency in the Berkshires.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce and Doris. He leaves a dear brother, Don; sister-in-law, Mary Lou; and their children and grandchildren. He leaves four children, Jack Warner of Ft. Pierre, S.D., Mark Warner of Quincy, Mass., Sally Connolly of Milton, Mass., and Diane Famolare of West Newbury, Mass. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Eric, Sara, Barry, Laura, Karen, Katie, Lauren, and Jay; and 10 great-grandchildren, Jack, Katelyn, Kelsey, Gemma, Elle, Reed, Ben, Cerie, Guy, and Zoe.
Ray was an avid golfer and enjoyed diving and swimming, playing cards, and spending time with his family, who meant the world to him. They will miss him greatly.
