Barbara J. (Felton) Harlow

MIDDLETON — Mrs. Barbara J. (Felton) Harlow, 85, of Amesbury, beloved wife of the late Joseph Harlow, died on Monday, May 12, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Gloucester.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Leona (Kiley) Felton. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Barbara will be deeply missed.

Barbara spent most of her married life residing in the Town of Middleton, where she was an over 40-year member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #227 of Middleton. She enjoyed spending her time completing crossword puzzles and was an avid Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox fan.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Susan Fitzgerald and her husband, William, of Kingston, N.H., and Sandra Grant of Atkinson, N.H.; her sons, James Harlow and his wife, Christine, of Amesbury, Glenn Harlow and his wife, Diane Traccia of Peabody, Gary Harlow of Beverly, and Joseph Harlow of Boxford; her 14 grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Patricia LeClerc of Salem, Karen Bettencourt of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Shirley Vassy, Irving Felton and Ann Stark.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., Route 62, Danvers, on Friday, May 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services are private. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Postman 2nd Class on the Iowa and Wisconsin, receiving many medals, and was honorably discharged in 1946.

Edward Noga, for Mary Pat Romine, 59, who passed away Saturday at her home. Mary Pat was born in Youngstown Oct. 21, 1954, to Dale and Mary Jane Romine. She graduated from Ursuline High School in 1972 and from Youngstown State University in 1976. She worked most of her life in retail with May Dept. Stores, Carlisle Dept. Stores and retired from the J.C. Penney Co. in 2003. Mary Pat was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband, Curtis Finley; her daughter, Elizabeth Romine (John Clemenzi); grandchildren, Grace Romine, Kathryn Clemenzi and John “Jack” Clemenzi; stepdaughter, Jessica Finley; sisters, Jane Orr (Allan), Catherine "Cate" Romine, and Martha Romine (Earl Calvin); and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Valenage and grandson, Samuel Clemenzi.

She was a graduate of Manchester High School. Lori was employed as a manager at Haley's Ice Cream and Restaurant in Newburyport and was also previously employed at Rowley Animal Hospital, as she had a true love for animals. Above all, Lori was a devoted mother to her beloved son Bobby. Lori was a very kind and caring person who would help anyone. She loved caring for her dogs and cats and spending time with friends and family at a family camp in North Portland, Maine. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, motorcycles, and muscle cars. Lori is survived by her husband, Robert J. Wright Jr. and her son, Robert J. Wright III, both of Rowley; her parents,Harry T. and Connie (Stetson) Parsons of Harpswell, Maine; her brothers, Jeffery T. Parsons and his wife, Mary Macy of Mississippi and Thomas Parsons and his wife, Brooke of Georgetown. Lori is also survived by her mother-in-law, Joan (Ricker) Wright of Georgetown; sisters-in-law, Linda Danilecki and her husband, Robert of Georgetown, Debbie Sloban and her husband, Thomas of Amesbury, and Bonnie Silva and Glenn of Georgetown; brother-in-law, Raymond Wright of Boxford; and many nieces and nephews. Lori was predeceased by her father-in-law, Robert J. Wright.
