MIDDLETON — Mrs. Barbara J. (Felton) Harlow, 85, of Amesbury, beloved wife of the late Joseph Harlow, died on Monday, May 12, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Gloucester.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Leona (Kiley) Felton. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.
A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Barbara will be deeply missed.
Barbara spent most of her married life residing in the Town of Middleton, where she was an over 40-year member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #227 of Middleton. She enjoyed spending her time completing crossword puzzles and was an avid Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox fan.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Susan Fitzgerald and her husband, William, of Kingston, N.H., and Sandra Grant of Atkinson, N.H.; her sons, James Harlow and his wife, Christine, of Amesbury, Glenn Harlow and his wife, Diane Traccia of Peabody, Gary Harlow of Beverly, and Joseph Harlow of Boxford; her 14 grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Patricia LeClerc of Salem, Karen Bettencourt of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Shirley Vassy, Irving Felton and Ann Stark.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., Route 62, Danvers, on Friday, May 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services are private.
