Merrimac, MA — Harold P. Libby, age 90, passed at home in Merrimac, surrounded by his loving family.
He served with the National Guard, worked many years in the Peabody tanneries, and did many odd jobs until his retirement in 1988.
Harold was a die-hard Patriots fan.
He was the widower of Bertha (Waite) Libby and was also predeceased by his son, Robert Libby; granddaughter, Beverly Freeman and great-grandson, Kevin Rohrdanz. Harold leaves his daughters, Donna Eaton of Amesbury and Sandra Freeman of Merrimac; his son, William Libby of Merrimac; his grandchildren, Becky Freeman of Merrimac, Donna Saunders of Fremont, N.H., Lisa Rojas of Peabody, Bethanne Brunelle of Maine, Chad Eaton of Newburyport, Dianne Brown, Chrissy Lachance of Florida, Denise Cooley of North Carolina; his great-grandchildren, who he got the biggest kick out of, Michael Heath, Karina and Miranda Rohrdanz; Gina and Jessica Brunelle, Samantha and Cassandra Rojas, Andrea, Amy, Abby, Bobby, David, Autumn Brown, Danielle, Kasey, Megan Ledford and Zachary Wathen; along with two great-great-grandchildren, Libby Dyer and Christopher.
ARRANGEMENTS: At the family's request, there will be no visiting hours and a private memorial ceremony will be held at a later date.
