Mildred R. (Kukene) Cronin

Seabrook Beach, NH — Mildred R. (Kukene) Cronin, 82, of Seabrook Beach, N.H., died peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Exeter Hospital, following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Cronin.

Mildred is survived by six children, Martin “Chip” Ward and wife, Nancy, of Lindenhurst, Ill., Mark Ward and wife, Dari, of Stratham, N.H., Joanne Ward of Brentwood, N.H., Matthew Ward of Seabrook Beach, N.H., Erin Chase and husband, Michael, of Haverhill, and Joseph Cronin and wife, Patricia, of Haverhill; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Ward of Seabrook; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, John Kukene of Haverhill; along with several generations of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Ward.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services at the funeral home will be Thursday, at 10 a.m., followed by burial in Union Cemetery, Amesbury. In her memory, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110, or Crotched Mountain Foundation for the the Disabled, 1 Verney Drive, Greenfield, NH 03047.
