Newburyport — Loving mother, daughter, sister, friend, Jasmine Sarah Gillingham of Newburyport, passed away suddenly in her home on June 9. She was born in Cambridge, Mass. on July 13, 1978, but lived most of her life in Newburyport. Jasmine graduated from Newburyport High School in 1996 and excelled at track and soccer, on varsity for both. She went on to obtain an Associate degree, majoring in graphic design, from Northern Essex Community College and graduated with high honors. She excelled in the arts and worked for several design firms, including Converse. Jasmine was wonderful with people and most recently worked at Agave Mexican restaurant and loved interacting with the public. She had an infectious smile and great sense of humor.
She recently renewed a love of photography and was working on a portfolio of many beautiful photos. Jasmine loved being outdoors, spending time with relatives at Lake Winnipesaukee and Ludlow, Vt. Jasmine loved snowboarding, skiing, biking, sledding and cars. She greatly enjoyed dancing and listening to music but most of her passion was in art and design, as she had a very artistic nature.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Kai, as well as a loving daughter to her mother, Jean Snow; father, Sam Gillingham and stepfather, Chris Snow, and had a extremely strong bond with her brother, Shane Gillingham, with whom she shared the passion for music and art. She leaves behind many uncles, aunts and cousins, as well as many good friends. Jasmine was a beautiful woman spiritually and physically. A gorgeous spirit that walked the earth for all too short a time and will be painfully missed.
