Charlotte Bowmer Wilson Thurlow, 50

Newbury, MA — Charlotte Bowmer Wilson Thurlow, 50, of Newbury, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, at Brigham & Woman’s Hospital, of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Known to many as “Toolie,” Charlotte was born in Pico Rivera, Calif., and grew up in Hood River, Ore. After graduating Milwaukee High School, she lived in North Carolina for a short time, and eventually relocated to Newbury.

Charlotte’s true passion in life was her family and friends. She could always be found helping someone in need, planning the next family party, or simply cooking dinner for her children. In addition, she enjoyed reading, traveling, church and playing the piano. A Christian, Charlotte belonged to the New England Christian Church, and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeff Thurlow of Newbury; her three sons, Nick Wilson, Jeff Thurlow Jr., and Travis Wilson of Newbury; daughter, Katelyn Raman (Thurlow) and son-in-law, Ajay Raman of Orange, Calif.; mother, Beverly Bowmer of Mulino, Ore.; brother, Randy Bowmer of Mulino, Ore.; sister, Susan Bowmer of Clackamas, Ore.; nephews, Jeromy Bowmer of Molalla, Ore., Brian Bowmer of Milwaukie, Ore., and Daniel Bowmer of Mulino, Ore.; and niece, Nicole Bowmer of Portland, Ore.; along with numerous sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws; nieces and nephews; cousins; and dear friends.

Through her 7-year battle with cancer, Charlotte’s strength, grace and humor never wavered. Her extraordinarily positive attitude and faith were truly an inspiration to all those around her. She will be remembered for her infinite generosity, kind spirit and unconditional love for her family and friends. Although her beauty and laughter has left us, her memory will live on in the family she built, the wisdom she shared, and the love that she so willingly gave.
