Priscilla E. (Brienza) Scott, age 66 of Newburyport, Mass., died Wednesday evening at the Merrimack Valley Hospice in Haverhill, Mass.
She was the wife of the late George C. Scott. She was born in Newark, N.J., on June 16, 1945, the daughter of Mildred M. (Walker) May of Franklin Park, N.J., and the late Ralph Brienza.
Priscilla was a member of the Newburyport Golden Agers and a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newburyport. She worked for the Continental Insurance Co. and later for the C.N.A. Insurance Co. as an underwriter for many years. She was formerly associated with Re/Max in Newburyport.
She is survived by her mother and her daughters: Marie E. McDermot and her husband William of Ipswich, Mass.; Tina Anderson and her husband John of Wakefield, Mass.; Cynthia Wood and her husband Michael of Troy, N.C.; and Corinne Schiena and her husband Anthony of Sayreville, N.J.; her siblings Thomas Brienza and his wife Ginny of Copiague Harbor, N.Y.; Jeanette Magna and her husband Paul of Franklin Park, N.J.; Dorothy Mazzi and her husband Tony of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and James Brienza of Jamesburg, N.J.; her grandchildren Fawn, Kristine, Steven, Clare, Kayleigh, Julia, Anthony, Emma, Gino, Talia and Angelo; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Green St., Newburyport, Mass., with her burial in the Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton, Mass. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Twomey LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, Mass.
