Plum Island — Charlene (Crocker) Roaf, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 16, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Charlene enjoyed the simple things in life, warm days spent on the beach of Plum Island, yard saling with friends, and drives along the coast. She spent many years on Plum Island with her five children before moving to Salisbury, and subsequently Seabrook, N.H.
Charlene was known for her big smile and even bigger heart. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Charlene is survived by her five children, the late, Elaine Crocker of Newburyport, Frank and Kathy Crocker of Newburyport and their daughter, Carly, Walter and Mary Crocker of Amesbury and their children, Meghan, Joseph and Jon Kezer, Charles and Mistie Crocker of Newburyport and their sons, Cody and Jack, Patricia Crocker-Adell and husband, Eric Adell of Amesbury and their daughters, Mackenzie and Tory. She also leaves a husband of 34 years, Robert Roaf of Seabrook, N.H.; four step daughters, Robin Dow of Elliot, Maine, Karen Sawyer of Plum Island, Donna McGlew of Haverhill and Pamela Sawyer of Groveland; along with many old and dear friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial mass will be held Saturday, March 23, at the Immaculate Conception Church on Green Street in Newburyport beginning at 11 a.m.
