Fred was a member of the Mayflower Society, Pilgrim John Howland Society, Historical Society of Old Newbury where he had served as treasurer for many years, Old Town Country Club of Newbury, Christmas Cove Improvement Association of Christmas Cove, Maine, Dalton Club of Newburyport, Hartford Club of Hartford, Conn. and had been an incorporator of the Anna Jaques Hospital.
Fred is survived by his wife, Martha Sears Barclay of Newburyport; two children, Sarah Barclay Currier and husband Jason of Edgecomb, Maine and F. Beale Barclay, Jr. of Chester, Conn.; two grandchildren, Henry Lyman Currier and Lydia Adelaide Currier; two brothers, Charles Brunner Barclay, Jr. and wife Mary of Severna Park, Md. and “Jack” John Kennedy Barclay and wife Carol of Gladwyne, Pa.; brother-in-law, Wesley M. Heilman, III of Berwyn, Pa., along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Katharine Barclay Heilman.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Private interment will be on the Family Plot at the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
