SANDOWN, N.H. — Joseph Philip Borin, 69, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at his home in Sandown.
He was born on Aug. 15, 1941 in Newburyport, the son of the late John S. and Anna (McTighe) Borin.
A former longtime resident of Kingston, he was employed for many years as a carpenter for the Local 33 Union in Boston. Joseph was very active in athletics for most of his life. He coached Little League Baseball in Kingston for many years and also helped to form the Kingston Pony League. He enjoyed playing basketball and was a member of the Romeo Club in Sandown, N.H. He was also a Communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Loraine (Kent) Borin of Sandown, N.H.; his daughter, Cheryl and husband Ronald Pitkin of Lee, N.H.; his son, Joseph J. and wife Jennifer Borin of North Scituate, R.I.; four grandchildren, Julie, Emma, Lily and Lucas; his sister, Rosemary Healey of Woburn; and his brother, Thomas E. Borin of Epping, N.H.
He was predeceased by his brother, John Borin, and his sister, Anne Murray.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, N.H. An hour of visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service on Saturday. Fr. Volney DeRosia will officiate the service.
